Debut
CD from a great Power Pop outfit from England. Available in the US as an
import only, this record is a great mesh of pure pop sensibilities slammed through Marshall stacks at about 1000 miles an hour. Best of both worlds, eh? |

Japan
loves its Power Pop, and they love Silver Sun. Thankfully, the group
released a compilation of their CD-singles bonus tracks and the result is another great Silver Sun album. |

Here
is all the proof you need that a) American record companies and radio sucks,
and b) ALL major labels and all commercial radio sucks. Quite possibly the most creative pop band to come out of England in years, and virtually everyone ignores them. I guess I should be lucky that they were allowed to record two albums (and two compilations, one of which I have). Silver Sun was the British (and 90s) equivalent to CheapTrick. Balls out rocking pop songs that are intelligent and highly infectious. Too bad they had to fold since their label did absolutely nothing to promote them anywhere. If you can find these albums, stop at nothing to pick them up. You won't regret it. |

The
long-awaited third album from Silver Sun! At first I was so excited
about this, then I listened to it - expecting a natural progression from their second album, Neo Wave, I was sadly disappointed at first. I mean, the artwork should have been a dead giveaway: it's a nod to their first album and so is the music contained inside. After repeated listenings my reaction shifted again, this time to one of quiet pleasure. I mean, ANY release by Silver Sun is cause for celebration. And though I do wish that James Broad stretched his songwriting a bit, I can't complain - I love this band and anything they do. Here's hoping there are more CD's on the way!. |

after death via the internet! More new music from this great British band.
A wonderful album true to form that harkens back to their debut and carries on the tradition of great British indie music. A must have! |
