Probably
had their biggest hit with 'A Girl Like You,' and deservedly so - a great song!
A great album, too. Catchy tunes with great hooks - and a tribute to Buddy Holly's wife in 'Maria Elena.' Cool. Very cool.

Unfortunately,
this fine album was released just as Grunge was exploding all over the place.
And although The Smithereens released a few more albums, this was the last one to make any kind of waves commercially. Sad, really, since this is music and that drivel was shoved down the masses throats in its place. Poetic justice is that Grunge didn't last, but music like this does.
