Strange how one of the most depressing albums ever can be a hit. Definitely NOT the LP to listen to if you're
feeling suicidal; it'll drive ya right over the edge. That's a solid testament to how good the record is, really.
If it can affect people on such an emotionally vulnerable level, the songwriting has to be good. And it is.

This sucker was EVERYWHERE in 1985. A monster hit, it surprised everyone. And it's artistically sound,
too!

After a lengthy break, Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith reconvened for another phenomenal album. The
masses didn't really latch onto this one. Fickle sods. A wonderfully adventurous album, I heard the title track
on the radio one day soon after its release, and in the middle of the track the DJ spliced 'I Am the Walrus' by
The Beatles. And it was seamless! That was cool!

Roland Orzabal goes it alone, and comes up with perhaps the most heartfelt, well-crafted album of TFF's
career. Every song a gem, every note perfect. This is one of my desert island CD's.

Still going it alone, Roland Orzabal dropped the ball BIG TIME on this one. A truly horrible album. I think I'm
hanging onto it so one day I can surprise myself and find something of redeeming quality here. Hey, I'm a
dreamer . . .

Okay . . . this is my album of the year (2004). This is simply the best album I have heard to date for the 21st
century. Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith buried the hatchet and reunited for a strikingly beautiful album.
Apparently overdosing on The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Pink Floyd, TFF make a strong case for 80's
bands to reunite.
