The first Wings album, done in a very DIY style before there was such a thing. Not really much here, save for
that. Again, when you go from The Beatles to this, it's very anti-climactic.

Since the first album didn't do too well, the brass at Capitol Records decided to add the 'Paul McCartney
& . . .' bit to help the public realise who was in the group. Plus the picure on the cover was a dead giveaway.
Not a bad idea, and 'My Love' became Wings' first real hit.

THIS is more like it! Stripped down to a trio, Macca played most of the instruments himself and the result
is the best Wings album of all time.

Another commerical wallop from Sir Paul. Had a nice band feel to it, too. Not really a concept album, but
presented in a way where it could be. Great album!

Ah, commercialism rears its ugly head . . . and Linda gets her only lead vocal ever. Still, it's Paul and I love
it! Killer Top 40 tunes with the classic 'Silly Love Songs' and 'Let 'Em In.' Transports me back to 1976 every
single time.

A monster 3-Record set when released at the end of 1976, this was a token of thanks to the fans for a highly
successful US tour (for Wings at the Speed of Sound), and to the fans who couldn't attend (like me - too
young!). One of the best live albums of all time.

Stripped back down to a trio (Jimmy McCulloch was fired for constant drug use [and later died because of
it] - ironic then when Paul was busted in Japan the following year for possession) and Joe English quit to
be with his family, Paul, Linda, & Denny Laine forged on. A lackluster album by all counts, there are some
good tunes on this. And I love every second of it! Good for a rainy afternoon.

My favourite Wings album of all time! Adding Steve Holly (drums) and Laurence Juber (guitar), Wings
was a full-fledged band again, and the rocked like nobody's business. Paul also put together an all-star
lineup for 'Rockestra Theme' and 'So Glad to See You Here.' He would take this and run with it by putting on
the Concerts for Kampuchea benefit shows during the last week of December, 1979 (see below).

A benefit conert for the third world nation of Kampuchea (Cambodia, I think) and sponsored by UNICEF. Sir
Paul
put together a stirng of shows (over 3 nights) by the best of the old and new (UK) groups of the day.
Great to hear the old nugget 'Every Night' live, and the collaboration of Rockpile and Robert Plant on an
Elvis Presley classic! Plus, live Clash and The Pretenders before their debut album was released! Those
were the days . . .

Ya like? Check these out!
